Go Beavs! This is a nice walk (about a mile round-trip) in McDonald Forrest. This is another Cole59 theme cache and was placed with permission from the forest management team.
This is an Oregon State Beaver Believer cache near the old "Beaver Marsh" cache off the 800 road in McDonald forest. Only OSU Beaver items or non-beaver items that are Orange & Black or Orange & White are allowed here. No Green & Yellow anything. Cache is a large camo. You can bring very large items. Because of it's size, please make sure it seals tight and please hide as found. This is a nice walk on a graveled maintenance road. From the locked gate at the bottom of the hill it is about 1 mile round trip. At the bridge you can see the beaver dam on Baker Creek. If you would like to place a cache in the McDonal forest and need the instructions, you can see the "When Good Caches Go Bad" cache (GC965C). Difficulty is based on signal strength in the area. You should be able to find this very close to the road (18 feet), no need to go trampling around in the forest area. At the bridge look up stream if you want to see the beaver dam. Note this area was logged after he cache was there for a few years (it is a working forest) but the forest folks left the cache. Good one for kids to find too.
