Geocache Description:

9/28/04 NOTE: A recent cacher has reported that yellow jackets have moved into the vicinity of the cache. Please proceed with caution.

This park is beautiful in every season! My dad brought me here as a kid to go sliding down the rocks in the river. NO SWIMMING ALLOWED NOW!! There are many small parking areas around the cache site; for the most scenic hike in, I suggest parking just north of the library, the parking lot is on the left, down a small hill. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Park is open from 6:00 a.m. until dusk. Trail can be slippery in the winter. I hope you enjoy this area as much as I do! The cache container is about 4 inches in diameter; wrapped in a plastic bag for the winter. BRING SMALLER ITEMS TO TRADE. Please be discreet, as many people visit the trails. ALSO IN THE AREA - RIGHT SIDE OF THE TRACKS CACHE After caching, be sure to stop and enjoy the interesting shops and buildings full of local history to the south of the park along 252. There is an old train engine in the back of the complex. Also a ways down the road (N41 21.53 W081 54.46) is a great meat market full of fresh meat and speciality sausages. P.S. My first attempt at cache-hiding. Let me know what you think!
