Note that I have adopted this cache and kept the original D/T rating and description. The terrain is probably a 3 even by Colorado standards. But I don't want to change it. (Beth) ...... Located off Burning Bear Trail going up the south side of Guanella Pass from Grant. Placed on 1/18/03, terrain is basically easy though the last 100 yards are extremely steep. Elevation gain is approximately 270' from start of trail.
The Peregrine Falcons had 4 patrol members participate in the making and hiding of this cache. As such, there are a LOT of itmes in the 5 gallon white bucket. Though there was barely much snow on the trail, the wind had blown it in areas to where it was about 10-11 inches deep. It wasn't a difficult wallk at all though it was cold. Weather should not impair anyone from finding this geocache. You will have a beautiful view from the place of the geocache.
