Almost Bald Traditional Cache

Almost Bald takes you almost to the top of Mt. Baldi in Sugarloaf Park. The trail is clear and sometimes paved, but a steep climb reaching almost 1900 elevation - spectacular views!
This started as an idea to place another cache along the way to Pony Up, and ended up a bit beyond. From the trail head of Pony Gate it is a 1 mile hike that starts out gentle and then climbs. There are certainly other ways to get there - this way provides free parking and does not require admission to the park.
The cache is a plastic screw top jar, about a 4" opening and measures about 6" tall. It started out with some sidewalk chalk, a small can of flavored coffee, some zip ties, a snowman ornament, and the Elf Gone Bad Travel Bug. It also includes a log book and pen.
