Geocache Description:

Quick and Historic Stop near the Oregon Trail, Camp Clarke Bridge (Historic), Sidney-Black Hills Trail. Pretty easy but General Prairie hazards. Take time to read the historic sign.

Look south of the tree nearest the cache and you will see the ruts (depression in grass) of the Pony Express route and stage line. A small community named Camp Clarke was a rough old west town on the south bank of the river north of the cache at the historic bridge. The community later moved further east to become modern day Bridgeport. Fairly Small Container - sandwich sized rubbermaid. Bring small trading items. Original Contents include:
  • bungee cord
  • matchbox
  • Deadwood token
  • Dollar coin
  • Patch
Please rehide VERY well and watch for curious onlookers.
