Geocache Description:

Take a short hike through one of The Uwharrie's overlooked trails.

This cache is located within the most senic area along the Denson Creek Trail. The cache is an average size tupperware container. Begin you hike at the Uwharrie Ranger Station on NC 24/27 just east of Troy. There is an info board in the parking lot. Pick up one of the Denson Creek Trail brochures and carry it with you. The brochure details points along the trail. Round trip, the trail is 2.2mi with a few cut-backs and short inclines. Do not attempt to access the trail by parking along nearby Glen Rd. There are two prisons located at the other end of Glen Rd. Cars left unattended along this stretch make law enforcement authorities nervous. Cars have been towed before.
