In spring, one of the first places Snow Geese show up, is the Kenai River Flats. They interrupt their 3000 mile journey, from California to Russia, to feast on new vegetation.
Look for the snow geese on the Kenai River flats sometime in April. The traditional Snow Goose Classic lottery has been canceled. I have no idea why. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
On a nice day you will have a great view of Mt redoubt across the inlet.
Spend a few minutes here and relax.
Depending on the season Caribou, moose and other birds may be spotted.
This cache is hidden where the goose watching is best.
