Drive the original State Highway One between just south of Moeraki and Palmerston.
The road is narrow and twisting. You will be rewarded with spectacular views of Lime Stone out crops. Turn into the Trotters Gorge Scenic Reserve, park close to the gate if shut or if the Ford through the stream is too high for your vehicle. It is only another 3 minute walk if you have to park at the gate.
The cache is a 2 litre camo painted snap lock container that is invisible from the track and when stashed contained

WARNING - the track can be slippery if wet. Also some locals use the Reserve to park their cars when off hunting. They will check you out before getting out their Rifle, hunting dogs and skinning gear. Pam wasn't worried - gave me a fright though.
The Hunter said that some of the tracks loop back to the reserve - how long?? we didn't have time to wander - but they look worth a walk.
Warning 2 (after Nemesis miss) - GPS coverage is likely to be variable - take the re-edited hint - I think you will need it.
