Geocache Description:

1st in a series of virtual caches I'm setting at AMTRAK stations I visit. I'm starting from the East and Haicoole is starting in the West. Trains - the most relaxing way to travel!

Harrisburg Depot is used as the Transportation Center for bus and train. I can take the bus to Harrisburg to catch the train and enjoy a walk around Harrisburg while I'm waiting.

This building, as is true of many older train stations, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It has a unique style, the Queen Anne style, and a unique train shed structure. In 1922 over 100 trains arrived and departed at the station each day. Now you can catch a train to Chicago once a day or the more frequent trains to Philadelphia.

To log this cache, you need to email me the answers to 2 questions:
1) What time of day did the original portion of the present building open?
2) How many train station structures have been built at this site including the present building?

Do not put answers in your log, encrypted or not, or your log will be deleted.

GPS jumps around alot in city. Coordinates have been modified thanks to PAMAP and CCCooperAgency.
