It has come to my attention that this cache has been "converted" to a virtual cache. This cache was published as a physical cache. When a cache box disappears the options are to archive the listing or to replace the box. Converting it to a virtual cache circumvents the review process, and is against the guidelines. http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx

Geocache Description:

A nice hike to a great dog friendly beach.

This is one of our favorite places to bring our dogs. To get here you need to drive to the trail head at N38° 09.163' W122° 56.339'. The drive out to this area has some great views. It is a half mile hike from the road to the beach, but well worth it. AS you reach the beach you need to find the answer to this question:

Note: If you are looking to swim, we don't recommend this beach as the surf is rough and there are rip tides.

Note for dog owners: Part of this beach is closed to dogs from May to October due to snowy plover nesting season, but the rest of the beach is still open.
