Geocache Description:

Formerly a moving cache, now a permanent stationary cache in the Utah desert to preserve the pictures and descripitions of its journeys. It also provides another cache to an area that doesn't have all that many.

This cache is part of the Great Baseball Diamond in the Desert and is located between the "First" and "Second" caches. In a previous life, it was a moving cache that experienced a Marlins game with the help of GNL and his friend. His friend took the entire cache to a game on July 19, 2003 where Brad Penny went head-to-head with Kerry Wood in a classic pitchers' duel but, sadly, Wood and the Cubs prevailed. The Marlins lost the game 1-0 with Wood tossing a two hitter and the only run of the game being un-earned.

The cache went MIA south of Stockton, California on its return trip so I never got a chance to see the items it collected or read all the great logbook entries. Thanks to all of the cachers who helped the cache meet its goal and almost return to me.

The cache is a .30 caliber ammo box that started out with a few baseball items, some of them from other moving caches that made it back, and a few non-baseball items.

Feel free to trade baseball or other sport related items. If you don't have sports items, feel free to trade whatever you like.
