Geocache Description:

I have to give credit where credit is due. Bilderback told me the location of this place. This spring is the origin of the San Antonio River. It is surrounded by a little wall so that it looks like a well. The spring is marked with a sign that explains its history. Many times the spring is dry in drought conditions if the underlying aquifer is too low. To get credit for this cache, email me the answer to this question--In times of drought, at what level does the aquifer have to be so that the springs will begin to flow again? Well, I wondered why I was getting so many wrong answers on this one. The sign that WAS there showing the answer is gone, so here's a new question.........what is inscribed on the nearby bench? Please send me the answer to the second question. So sad to see everything so dry. When I created this virtual, the water inside the hole was so clear and blue. There were little springs bubbling up all over the place. Hopefully this drought is only temporary. Be sure to continue south and see the footbridge. The ground here is like a sieve with numerous springs all over the place. Lots of waterfowl, beautiful scenery.
