Geocache Description:

Southwest corner of the Anacortes Community forest lands. Getting to the cache involves an uphill hike with switchbacks.

The cache is located at the top of a long hike UP to a high point.  The view from the top is slightly obscured by trees, but there is a nice view to the SW.  This is a very secluded area that gets little traffic.  A great place to lay out in the sun and take a nap or whatever.  There are a few routes up and down to the cache on the local trail system.  

This is a Great mountain bike ride for those of you who are into that sort of thing.

The cache is an Ammo Box.

On the most direct route up, a nice place to take a break and sit on a stone ledge at:
N48°29.068 / W122°39.072

The closest trailhead is at N 48 29.504 W 122 38.195.

Trail maps are available at City Hall, Chamber of Commerce, or The Business. Use ACFL trail #116 or #118 when en-route to cache.
PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB the native plants and wildlife while searching for this cache. A spoiler picture of the cache location has been provided to help reduce the impact of searching in the wrong place. The City of Anacortes has been kind enough not to remove the cache from this amazing and delicate place. Please return the favor by being absolutely respectful of the resources on which you are standing. Pack out any litter found in the area.
