"Not so" OK Corral Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mayfly22: I didn't know rocks were an endangered species but I guess they are so the cache will have to move. It had an almost 10 year run but couldn't survive because of government rules and regulations.

Geocache Description:

Pretty easy hike except for small bridge across creek and area close to cache.

The floods are gone so it is safe to venture out again. The cache is in an area that is occassionally used as a rest stop by aliens so some care must be taken.

This is our first try. The bluffs were causing a bit of change in GPS readings but they should be close enough for gov't work! As of the end of 2011 there is a low pole fence below the arch area. I haven't heard what it is for but you can easily step over it and through it and there are no signs telling you not to go up the hill. If something appears I will move the cache.
From the Catherine Creek parking area take the trail to the right and follow along the creek. When you come to the fork in the trail go across the foot bridge to the right and up the hill to the cache. For a bit more exercise you can follow the bluff up and around to the right and get on top for the walk back. Beautiful views!
