This is about a three mile hike with no difficulty. It is located in Joshua Tree National Park so an entrance fee is required.
We found this unusual and very interesting and worthwhile place to visit. Chiseled into the rocks at this location are the thoughts of one of the early settlers in the area.
Be sure to look around this area a bit to find as many of his 'thoughts' as you can.

To get credit, post your photo with you and your gps with one of the carvings. There is a total of maybe 8 ?
Remember that this is the desert so -
watch out for snakes and bring water with you.
Also mark you starting location in your gps for the return trip. It can all look alike out there to the untrained eye.
