This was an area haunted regularly by Coyote and his boyhood friends in the late '40's and early '50's. Now the State and the Nunda Rotary have rediscovered it and find it worthy of notice. Long forgotten canal locks that were abandoned in 1878 are no longer Coyote's "secret" stomping grounds. The tow path is a nicely mowed hiking trail with history lesson markers along the way.
The black ammo box has the usual gear: log book for you to note find, sign, date, and note time; camera for self portrait and repacking in box; bug spray and the usual trinkets of varing value for you to trade.
I did not see poison ivy but a wicked thorn apple tree did tear Linky's shirt so watch for it!
