This stash is near a hillside that is covered with rubble. Within
the rubble on the hill are small pieces of fossilized shells &
plants. I have collected many pieces of Horn Coral (so I have been
told) from here and I left a small sample in the container (please
leave it there). There are some fist-sized pieces here, but most
are much smaller.
The access road is single-lane dirt. I recommend medium to high
clearance vehicles – 4x4 – or OHV to get here. After you’ve found
the stash, continue up the road to the Jacob City overlook, take
your time and enjoy the aerial views.
Jacob City is an old mining/ghost town which once had a
population of around 300 people and its buildings included a

There is no access to this stash in winter due to snow.
