Geocache Description:

Formerly a moving cache, now a permanent stationary cache in the Utah desert to preserve the pictures and descripitions of its journeys. It also provides another cache to an area that doesn't have all that many.

This cache is part of the Great Baseball Diamond in the Desert and is located between the "Third" and "Home" caches. In a previous life, it was a moving cache. Its long and successful history is recapped below. Check out all the log entries and Picture Gallery for a complete record of its travels. Perfect Tommy took the logbook of the 2004 version to a game on July 7, 2004 where, sadly, the Yankees lost to the Tigers 10-8 in a game where 3 Tigers got ejected early and the Yankees almost came back late. Check the log entry for July 7 for a description of the game and a whole bunch of great pictures. Thanks Perfect Tommy for getting the cache to a game and for providing such a detailed report. Perfect Tommy put a Yankee bear with tophat keychain and a Fleer Ultra baseball card for Derek Jeter in for the cache owner. They made it all the way home and I have them now. Thanks for the great souvenirs Perfect Tommy!

The 2003 Edition had a successful journey thanks to many great cachers. It made it to a Yankess game with the help of 'diggs'. He took the logbook to a game on June 10, 2003 where the Yankees beat the Astros 5-3.

The cache is now a 30 caliber ammo box and was seeded with the contents of the 2003 Edition when it returned (of course, I kept a couple of the items as souvenirs). After long deliberation I decided to include the original logbook so all who find it can review its adventures.

Feel free to trade baseball or other sport related items. If you don't have sports items, feel free to trade whatever you like.
