Numeration Destination Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Pantalaimon: This one had a good run. Its my last up and running Geocache, as I have not been out in quite a while. It has fallen into disrepair, so I'm letting it go.

Thanks for all the fun.

Geocache Description:

This is a "puzzle cache." This cache is extremely easy to get to... once you figure out the right coordinates.

The coordinates listed above are not where the cache is hidden. However, the cache is within 2 miles, give or take, as the crow flies, of the listed coordinates. In fact, I'd advise you to park you car in the parking lot of the listed coordinates, grab a bite to eat at the best restaurant in New England (in my opinion), and then seek out the cache.

Here's what you have to do:

Complete and calculate the following equations to come up with two seven digit numbers. The first calculation gives you the NORTH coordinates, the second calculation gives you the WEST coordinates (without the zero in the front).

Once you have both coordinates, plot your answer on your map, or your GPS, and make sure your coordinates are within 2 miles, give or take, of the coordinates listed above, if not, you've done something wrong. Check your answers, and check your calculations.

I WILL NOT be confirming coordinates before you head out looking for the cache. So don't send me emails asking if you calculated right. However, I will say this, chances are that if you're within two miles, your calculations are good.

Any questions, feel free to contact me.

Here we go!

Here’s the calculations for the North coordinates, or Part I, read carefully:

Add the number of letters in the combined first names of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, subtract one, divide in half. (Note: 01/03/05. After a fascinating email from Trail Buzzards, I learned that the ORIGINAL spelling of one of the four TMNTs was incorrect when they were first released. So, be careful, because that TMNT's name was corrected in their more recent release. USE THE OLD SPELLING WHEN CALCULATING THIS NUMBER!)
