Cascades Pkwy Traditional Cache
Grandpa Rocks & Grouchy Gramma: Went out yesterday with a new larger cache to replace the lost one but with all the new activity and the clean up of the landscaping there was no spot available. This one has had a long enough run and I think it is time to retire it. Thanks.

The cache is open again. Please note the new coordinates. Just a little bit different from the original but still the same area.
A nice simple cache to hunt in a underdeveloped comercial area that may be hunted day or night. This area was just begging for a cache and we had to get it before Explosis jumped in.
When you go to the airport to pick up someone, if your like us, we circle around and around waiting for them to come out and call on their cell phone to tell us they are ready to be picked up. We are too cheap to park in short term parking especially when planes are so often late. So you use up half a tank of gas circling when the plane is late.
Now we have found a parking area that is only two minutes from the terminal and is free so you don't have to do that endless circling and waste gas. And as a bonus there is a cache to hunt now when that loved ones plane is late or you just want to. Also people traveling to our fair part of the country and in need of a quick caching fix after a long day of traveling can have that need satisfied in minutes after leaving the terminal.
Cache container is a two quart square rubbermaid container with a real good camo paint job. It has rocks on top to keep it from blowing or sometimes floating away. There are great views of Mt Hood and you can watch planes landing and taking off from the benches. No restrooms but drinking fountains are available. Cover and concealment are non- existant here so be careful when getting the cache and returning it. Especially cover it with the rocks provided to make sure it doesn't float away! Not sure if that may be a problem but sometimes it may be under water after a particularly heavy rain.
Good luck and enjoy.
