The story of this cache began on a hot summer, when my friend András and me became fed up with the dog days. We did not have days for a longer hike, so we decided to sleep at least one night somewhere in the woods, far from hot asphalt and sweating crowd. Since we had no intention to drag along a tent and on the other hand weather forecast talked about impending thunderstorms, we chose Hugo-villa as possible destination. It is a comfortable, sheltered bivouac place, peaceful forests, beautiful view. Anything missing? Yes, you are right. A cache-box. At least until this evening.
So by now you can find a cache on the top of Kámor. It can be reached from Diósjenõ (accessible from Budapest by train) or from Závoz pass (suitable parking place for cars). One must follow yellow trail from both starting points. Before the trail would reach the top of Kámor, it leads to a magnificent lookout point [47 58.451 19 01.214 ]. On the hilltop you find a small cave which worth looking in, but not climbing in.
Turn to the east on the top and follow your GPS. On the mountain edge you find the shelter known as Hugo-villa. On its right side, on steep slope is the box (appr. 25cm in diameter) hidden. Search for it at the foot of a three-branched tree, in a small cavity below a flat stone.
It is recommended to spend a night in the shelter and watch the dawn from here, just as we did.
