Situated in the small town of Ione, the cache is a relic of an earlier industrial age. Well preserved, Old No. 7 or Iron Ivan was the last steam locomotive to operate over the Amador Central Railroad between Ione and Martell.
The cache is conveniently located in the town center with ample parking and even has restrooms close by. It is easily accessible by wheelchairs.
This cache is dedicated to The River City Geocaching and Dining Society who entertained me during my visit from England. Thanks Guys and Gals!
