Richard Russell Retreat Redux
Same general location as this archived cache: Richard Russell Retreat
A big ammo box located on a scenic highway in the N. Ga. mountains. The last cache that was located here was stolen. This one is not quite as easy, however. The Forest Service has cleaned up the area and it is now a nice site to explore. The FS road used for parking is closed during the winter (it is a deadend), but you can still park just before the gate. Loose rocks, short hike, kinda steep.
Note added 7/6/03: Smoothjazz has added coords to his post that have put some closer than those listed. They are: 34º 44.850 and 83º 50.721. Thanx, Smoothjazz!
