Geocache Description:

Hidden in the backside of Lockhart State Park. There is a fee to enter unless you have a TPW Passport. Not a long walk, only a little bit of off-trail, but it can get muddy if there's been recent rain. Creek nearby is a scenic bonus.

Something new if you've found everything else in the Austin area. Cache is hidden on a little used hiking trail in Lockhart State Park. The cache is a 50-caliber ammo can painted black.

Update 1-3-04 by Moosiegirl: After several no-finds, we finally got out to check the cache. It was still in great shape and right where we put it, in fact a bit more exposed than we'd like. Wayne decided it would be prudent to move it a little farther off the trail. Coordinates have been updated and are good as of January 3, 2004. This park is worth a visit, give it a try!
