Geocache Description:

The Humber Bridge was for about ten years the worlds longest single span suspension bridge and is still a marvel of engineering. A short walk is all that is required from the Humber Bridge south viewing area carpark.

If you go to this cache from the south along the A15 be sure to turn off before you get on the bridge, follow the signs to Barton on Humber. If you cross the bridge you have to pay the toll of £2.50, a return journey double. Then follow the signs to the viewing area where parking is free. If you wish to park on the north side, again parking is free and you can enjoy the walk.

The cache container is a camoflage painted ammo box marked with white stencil lettering. Please ensure you hide the cache as you find it to avoid accidental finds. This is a replacement cache for one that was vandalised.

After completing this cache you may want to take a walk across the Humber Bridge and look for Humbridge (GC2104) which is on the north bank of the river. The footway to cross the bridge can be accessed by walking south from this cache location onto Far Ings Lane and toward the access ramp.
