This cache is a white APS film container and is hidden in a little gem of a public garden deep in the suburbs of Watford. It used to be a private house until the owner Mr H Colbeck, donated it to the town upon his death.
The original container was lost so this is a replacement.
It is maintained by Watford Parks Department and shows what CAN be done by a council department when it really tries.
The garden is lovely at all times of the year but particularly in Spring and easrly Summer. It has many small paths, a woddland walk, a pond and even an aviary. Small children will love it. There is plenty of parking on the street outside with (surprisingly for Watford) no parking restrictions! Be sure you are in Nascot Wood Road as there is only one entrance to the garden at N51 40.532 W000 25.013 (these co-ordinates were taken from Memory Map until I can re-visit and get a more accurate reading).
Unusually for one of my caches there are no pubs close by so why not bring a flask and sandwiches and enjoy the peace and quiet of the garden?
As it is maintained intensively a regular cache would soon be discovered. As it is situated at the back of the garden under fairly heavy tree cover the spoiler is very specific so don't cheat unless you absolutely have to.
Be aware that the garden closes at dusk so no nighttime caching I'm afraid.
