Watford town centre has been crying out for its own cache, but
where to place one? What used to be a lovely town has been turned
into a desert of concrete and chain stores over the years.
However there is one small oasis of calm right in the middle of
the shopping centre, St Mary's Churchyard. This cache would be an
ideal break from shopping. As usual there are several watering
holes very close by if it all gets too much for you.
I was looking for a suitable spot when I came across this very
poignant place. So sad, you will see what I mean when you get here.
It is INSIDE the graveyard, but only just.
A word of warning, Watford is very car unfriendly and the
traffic wardens are as vicious as any I have come across so don't
try and park on a yellow line, use a car park (there is one very
close by). This cache should only be attempted during daylight.
After dark there are just too many undesirables around for
comfort.
The cache is a black 35mm film container.
