An out-of–the way location in suburbia. Some bushwhacking needed for the last few yards – or more if you come in the wrong way. Believe it or not, this is Lake County Forest Preserve Property and a great place for a geo-dog or other helper.
This Cache marries the power of the Internet and Global Positioning System technology to do some good for others.
Here's a simple cache that gives back to community by collecting eyeglasses. Drop off your old prescription eyeglasses in the cache container and I will mail them to a Lions Club processing center.
So, all of you geo-cachers, search your drawers and cabinets for old eyeglasses that are no longer worn. If you don’t wear glasses, get some old ones from someone who does! Collect them up and bring them to this cache.
The cache is a plastic container in a dark plastic bag. Please post the number of glasses you drop off – when the total approaches two dozen, I’ll retrieve the contents and ship them in to the Lion’s Club Recycling Center in Rosholt, Wisconsin.
