Geocache Description:

Mary McCroskey State Park has some great views, but I strongly recommend 4WD if you try this before the roads dry out. Elevation will approach 4000'.

Pack a lunch and expect the kids and dogs to have room to roam. There's an ammo box with several goodies in it, but the real treasure is the views available.

There are two entrances to McCroskey Park from US95. At the Latah/Benewah county line (N47 03.315 W116 51.692), Forest Service road 4716 heads up to Skyline Drive. This is the shorter approach to the cache (almost 5 miles in). The second approach is seven miles further north by Hangman Creek near DeSmet.

You can also enter from the west (N47 07.402 W117 04.346) 2.5 miles north of Farmington. Be sure you have a good local map or else have enough time to enjoy the country.
