Geocache Description:

A quick and easy cache in California Country Park. Be careful - GPS has poor coverage in this area.

Cache was originally plaved by Parcan / Seeker_101. It was then maintained by Blue Beans. It is now maintained by AmayaTom

We recommend you park your car in the overflow car park and head back the road - back the way you came in!!

Please note that this area is full of brambles, nettles and other scratchy things - long trousers are recommended, especially for little ones !

In the summer the car park remains open until 7 p.m. and there is a £1.20 per hour parking charge. For people new to the park, there is a large supervised paddling pool (open until 5 p.m. and priced at and additional £1 per child), a good play area, cafe, picnic area and a lake which is nice to walk around. Beware however, the cafe shuts at 5 p.m. and there are no other toilets !

24/03/13 - Hint originally said "Look for a beheaded silver birch and remember the name of the cache!". Sadly that tree has now rotted entirely away and there is now a clearing where the tree was. I have tried to replace the cache as close to the coords as possible. If you struggle to find it try alternate coords of N 51° 22.607 W 000° 52.197. Given the name of the cache, I have had to make a bit of a compromise and shrink it to a micro (was a regular).

01/02/15 - Added Rosettes
