Clear Water Creek Trail (Brotherhood Bridge Trailhead)The main trail is asphalt from beginning to end. However, to get to the cache you must leave the main trail and use a dirt trail.
Begin at the Brotherhood Bridge trailhead where you will have an awesome view of the Mendenhall Glacier. In the Summer the Fireweed bloom is incredible. In the Winter the main trail is hard packed snow and could be slippery after a rainfall followed by a freeze, in the Summer it's asphalt.
Follow the trail, crossing the the bridge over Montana Creek. Watch for three different benches. After you've passed the third bench watch for an unpaved trail that heads off to the left. The trail splits just inside the woods, go to the right. Follow your GPS coordinates from this point. The Cache is off of the right side of the trail. The container is an ammo can which originally contained a variety of swag items,log book and pencils.
