Geocache Description:

South side of back Bay peninsula, in 3" x 6" camouflage cylindrical container, behind a stump.

There is a small parking area across from the State Park/Golf Course. The trail starts from the east end of this area, and is a loop trail that goes to the end of the little peninsula, around a large evergreen tree. (The back bay moorings house many small boats. Birds fish in that back bay: look for white pelicans. Little white-tailed bunnies have also been seen along the trails.) The most scenic route is around the end point, taking in views of Morro Rock and the sand dunes. Turning back toward the mts, look for sandpipers in the shallow marshlands. Logs on the right side of trail provide an approx marker for taking a smaller trail into the brush. Wildflwrs are beginning to bloom around the cache.
