3/21 Update:
1) I've increased reservations to 55!!!.
2) We will be on the 2nd floor.
3) The reservation is in my name - Coffman (I should have given the name Geocacher).
4) Reservation time is 5:30 - I'll plan on arriving before that to test the beer. Someone has to do it.
5) I've asked for separate checks, gratuity will likely be included in each.
6) Special thanks to WE4NCS for helping with the details and cool giveaway items.
Looks like a great turnout - look forward to seeing/meeting you all!
Note: Mapquest incorrectly shows the location of Moore Square. The posted coordinates are correct, Moore Square is directly across Martin St. from your objective.
New and not-so-new cachers:
Come out for an evening of food and conversation.
It's been a long time since our last meeting, so lets get together to see how we all survived the
winter, what we've all been up to (besides the addiction) and hopefully meet lots of new people!
The location should be easy to spot in a popular area of downtown. The name of the place is (bottom color of a stoplight) + (often heard on Star Trek "raise the ___")
Plan to be there by 5:30 pm. If anyone wants to join us from out of town - you are more than welcome. Come for a day of caching and an evening of comaraderie. - Kids welcome!
Topics/Agenda will include:
- Triangle Area Geocachers logo which should be selected in early March. See
Triangle Area Geocachers Yahoo Group.
for more information.
- food & drink
- The upcoming Earth Day Cache In Trash Out Event on 4/26
- Where will we go to clean up
- Other related activities
- Placing a new cache as part of the this event
- food & drink
- Giveaways
- food & drink
- stay tuned for more
This is an informal gathering where all are encouraged to share war stories, newcomers can get answers to
questions (heavily laced with personal opinion), people can eat, drink, linger (or not).
Here's what we could use:
- Suggestions/donations on giveaway items - I'll supply 2-3 shirts featuring the new logo (whatever it is) and 1-2 USA GEOCOINs!
- Come prepared to discuss the April event
- Bring examples of signature items, travel bugs, pictures, etc. for all to marvel over
- Newcomers: Come with all your questions. If you can answer ours, we'll answer yours!
email me or post suggestions, questions, comments to the
Triangle Area Geocachers Yahoo Group.
Let me know what, if anything you can donate to the cause.
I will make reservations at least 1 week in advance...
...so post your intentions before then and we will be sure to have enough space.
Please include in your post the number of people that will attend.
Post NOTES only, no "found it" posts until you've attended. Thanks!!
