A photo below will give away the exact location. It is behind the daypack in the photo. Reasoning? It's a very difficult climb and I'd hate to see you get close without finding it.
From where I parked on highway 62 my gps says it is .15 miles away. That took me about 30 minutes to reach. It's uphill all the way and steep. You do not need any special gear to reach it and do not have to climb rocks. I did some scrambling over rocks but that's it. Don't bring small children. Don't go if you suffer from vertigo.
The views up there are amazing. When you are driving down highway 62 from Prospect just before you get to the bridge over Lost Creek Lake you can see needle rock. I've always wanted to climb up there and check it out. The cache I placed near the eye is small with a logbook, pencil and a couple of very small items. If you have a digital camera please take a photo of someone in your group in front of the eye and post it here.
After placing the cache I climbed up on top. A pick-up truck full of young guys started honking their horn and yelling at me. That was pretty cool. Old guy up on top of the world. I liked it.
Please rehide well as this place gets visitors.
