Geocache Description:

The cache is located just outside of Whitmire, SC.

Jew's Harp Spring Hiking Trail is located in Sumter Forest. The "Jew's Harp" is a carved fountain, in a natural spring that provided water for the Orange Hill Plantation. In the 1860's, J.E. Sherman carved Jew's Harp out of a solid piece of granite. Water flows through a hole into a bowl, which is always full, but never overflows. Read the sign at the roadside to learn more! Park at the campground for a longer walk, or park along the road at a place just down from the sign. You will see it when you get close. Follow the trail by following the white spots painted on the trees.

The cache is in a dark green ammo can.
