Geocache Description:


Inspired by one of my favorite childhood poets, Shel Silverstein, this is an easy cache.
This is my first attempt at hiding a cache, and will be the first of many "Badtz-Maru" themed caches.

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know

Be very careful of traffic when searching. Although you will not need to stray into the road, the traffic zooms by very fast.
Cache container is a metal badtz maru box (see picture).
You will need to bring your own writing instrument.

4/1/03 NOTE:
It seems the neighbors are becoming suspicious
of activity in the area. Please keep this in
mind while caching and try to be discreet.
You can avoid being seen by ducking behind the large
man-made barrier.

This cache is hidden on the West side of the
man-made barrier, so don't go snooping in private
property! ;-)
