located at 4555 ft, at end of dirt road. road is generally accessible by most vehicles under good weather conditions. be aware of any old exploratory mine shafts/pits. generally safe area with caution.
"A Fallen Star" is dedicated to the lost astronauts of STS-107. R. Husband, W. McCool, M. Anderson, K. Chawla, D. Brown, L. Clark, and I. Ramon of Israel Space Agency. This was placed by the newly formed Great Basin Eastern Sierra Geocachers. It contains 14 items relating to space and space travel. Please help keep the theme. Items within at placement range from items of personal jewelry, a Lego kit, a video tape, and yes... the "Astronaut Travel Bug" destined for all 50 states. The cache is an ammo can with standard desert camo paint job. Please be kind when taking out and replacing contents as cache is quite full. bring the kids on this one, and take some time to relax, and enjoy the panorama, and of course do look up to the skies from whence our comrades were looking down upon us upon their return.
