Geocache Description:

To begin your search park at N 41 14.65, W 111 55.95. The walk is easy & the trails not hard to follow all the way to the cache site.

I grew up hiking all over these foothills and spent a lot of time in this area especially, exploring caves and enjoying the views. From the cache there are great views of the valley, canyon, river, hotpots, and the behind the scenes story of the falls (the one the tourists at the bottom never see). From here you can continue to explore up the canyon or just enjoy the views of the valley below. The views from this site are especially beautiful at sunset as the sun sinks down across the Great Salt Lake to the west. This can also be a two-part cache, if you choose, with the second site (near by, sort of). If you decide to continue on I've left a refreshing treat at the second cache for any one up to the challenge of continuing the search. The next coordinates can be found in the logbook. You can see the second cache from this site but if you decide to go on to it, watch the first step it can be a lu lu.

The cache is in an ammo can hidden under several rocks. Cover the box back up well when you’re done. (My first two caches already walked away from sites near by) If bringing children keep an eye on them on the last 200 feet of the trail. This is not a necessarily dangerous site and there are hand wires to hold on to along the trail, but there's also not a lot of room for second chances if you get off the trail near the cache it's self. There are several other caches sites near by, both easy and a bit more involved. There are also many bike trails on either side of canyon to explore.

New items in the Cache: Silly putty, liquid bubbles, glider, pencil sharpener, soap, key chain, tattoo, batteries, child’s watch, gum, tic tacs, dog treats, DVD, magnets, pens
