Just a quick stop on your way out of or into (depending upon the direction you come from) clean, green Boulder City
This cache is a microcache located at an awesome Lake Mead/ Boulder City outlook point just over the hill and outside the old business district of Boulder City. It is a favorite photography spot. It is common for people to cross the street to take photographs from the sidewalk opposite the 30 minute parking area. However, you must use caution and watch for traffic when you cross the street. Do not stand in the street or jump the gaurd rail no matter what your GPS says. There is no need to do either. There is also no need to disturb any of the surrounding vegetation or rocks.
The cache is a very small mint tin with a single coin and a small logbook in a plastic bag. Please bring a pen to write on the log and an average to small size coin to exchange. When you exchange your coin for the one that will, hopefully, have been left by the last cacher please record the type of the coin you are leaving and any significant marks or numbers the coin may have. (The original coin was a 2000 P Sacagawea dollar.)
Please remember this location is often used by the public and, though your presence will not generally be noted as suspicious, you should try to keep a low profile while looking for the cache.
