Geocache Description:

So what's with the name? Well 15-20 years ago I was out running when I came upon a rattlesnake. I've seen many, but this one looked a lot different from all of the others. I had no idea what kind of rattlesnake it was, but a few years ago I saw a show on rattlesnakes and discovered that the snake I saw was a Mojave Green rattlesnake, the deadliest rattlesnake in the United States. So when Geocaching came along I thought about a good hiding place and realized it was within 100 feet of my Mojave Green sighting. So that was my incentive for naming the cache.

The cache container is a plastic nut jar. The original cache contents are:

1 package of golf balls
1 hard drive cable
4 army men
1 flip flop key chain
1 airline key chain
1 thermometer key chain
1 luggage tag.

Please do not bushwhack. As you are hiking up the trail you will notice that the cache is less than 100 feet away. Please resist the temptation to hike through the brush. Just keep going up the hill and your route to the cache will reveal itself. Park at the end of Brookview.

Please be careful when reaching under rocks and bushes. You might have your own Mojave Green sighting. Also, it's always tick season. I had to brush one off when placing the cache.
