Somewhere in Newport Beach, somewhere near where the buffalo used to roam except now houses are roaming there...
This cache is located near (600 ft.) a very large rock that was used for rock climbing (N33 37.703, W117 51.449). The rock is known as the Buffalo chip. The Irvine Company used to have a buffalo herd grazing in this area hence the name. For those interested, there is a statue of a buffalo and a plaque at N33 37.779, W117 51.736. The waterfall is at N33 37.735, W117 51.506.
