Geocache Description:

Located near the campus of Union-PSCE, this park contains a walking/exercise track and a labyrinth.

The labyrinth is an ancient geometric design, used for spiritual enlightenment. Although originally conceived in the Christian tradition, it is not exclusive to that alone and can be used by spiritual seekers of all types. It is of various sizes, constructions, and designs. This labyrinth is modeled on the one from Chartres, France and was placed here by the Chrysilis Group of Richmond. Participants walk the course set out by the labyrinth, contemplating their inner life along the way. The course proceeds to the center of the circle and then out again to the edges, following the meditational journey within. For more information on labyrinths see: http://www.lessons4living.com/labyrinth.htm and http://www.angelfire.com/tn/SacredLabyrinth/ or do your own Google search. If you choose to record your experience in the logbook (which is not always present) provided by the labryinth owners (not by the cache owner), remember that other participants will likely not be aware of what "geocaching" is all about. Please DO NOT place travel bugs in the mailbox located at this cache. There is no photo or other requirement to log this cache. If you've been here, please feel free to log it. We're all adults and there's no reason to "cheat" on something that is just about having fun anyway. Geocaching is about the journey (in this case, the journey within), not the conquest. Happy meditating.
