A cache located on the extensive grounds of the Truman Dam Overlook.
The Truman Dam Overlook is perched on a bluff overlooking (of course)a great expanse of Truman Lake and the top of the Lake of the Ozarks. The visitors center offers artifacts of prehistoric animals (mammoths, etc), prehistoric peoples (arrowheads, etc), and the later settlers (a beautiful loom and organ, etc) of the region. Right now (March 2003) they have a Bald Eagle nest (quite an impressive sight) on display outside the center. Other items of historic interest (an entire cabin set in the woods) are also on the grounds.
The center is open from 9am to 4:30pm daily (If I'm wrong, please email me). The cache is a microcache with a Good Luck Pig, some lenses, Thai coins, and plastic bugs. Also I've included a "Log Book" and a pencil.
