A riverside stroll
There are basically two starting points for this walk along the banks of the East Allen river. There are better parking points on the eastern approach, next to the bridge below the football field. There are a lack of parking opportunities from the western approach from Oakpool bridge.
We were fortunate to see a red squirrel, a tree creeper and lots of curlews today amongst other wildlife.
The cache is near a cottage in the middle of nowhere with no real access that we can see that has just been sold, so you may see a bit of building activity.
I'll give you one clue before you set off to prevent any gnashing of teeth later, you need to be on the south side of the river!!!
