Easy cache to get to on foot. About 30 feet off of the trail. No bushwacking required-bug spray is helpful. Bring fishing gear for a nice afternoon on the reservoir (but no fishing from shore - use boat or pier).
Cache is located at the Little Creek Reservoir Park. From I64 take the Croaker exit 231 and drive to Route 60, turn right onto Route 60 (Richmond Road). Follow Richmond Road to Toano and you'll see the Fire Station on your left at an intersection. Turn left at the intersection onto Route 610 (Forge Road). Follow Forge Road approximately 2 miles, turn left onto Route 766 (Lakeview Drive). Follow Lakeview Drive about 1/4 a mile and turn right into the first parking lot.
(If you take the second right into Little Creek Reservoir Park there is the office and restrooms - but you'll have to get back to the first enterance.)
Cache is in a ammo box. Contains logbook and pen; and items left by fellow cachers.
The park is open seven days a week 7 a.m. to 1/2 hr before sunset, March through November. December through February it is opened weekends only from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
