Geocache Description:

The Burrup Peninsula in the north west of Western Australia was the traditional home of the Jabuarra (Yapurarra) people.
As well as being a major industrial area, the Burrup is famous for the sheer volume of aboriginal rock engravings (petroglyphs) that can be found.

The area of the cache has shell fish middens near by as well as rock art. The engraved motifs include human figures, marine and land fauna, animal tracks and abstract symbols.
As the area you will enter is of archeological significance I have decided to make this is a virtual cache. The prize you are seeking is the pleasure derived from locating and appreciating ancient art.
To log the cache a finder must locate the abstract petroglyph shown in the photograph and post a photo of your GPS with the target.
You may only log this cache once.
The location of the coordinates given is just off the road into Hearson's Cove and is readily accessible to all motor vehicles.
