You will travel a dirt road to the ranch. It can be muddy.
This is one of a string of Lewis and Clark caches placed along the Nebraska and Iowa borders of the Missouri River. The owners of this private land asked us to place a cache here, suggested the cache site, and gave advice on the lid contents. The land in this area is magnificent as a part of the scenic highway! The rolling hills of grasses with a view of the Niobrara River in the valley along with the elk and buffalo are a thrill to see. Lewis and Clark traveled up the Niobrara River as a side trip from the Missouri River which is also close by. The Kreycik Elk Farm is located along the Shannon Trail, so be sure to ask for a sticker in the gift shop.
