Hey, Where's The Key? Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Darkmoon: Got an email from Kand about this cache and if it was still out there. Him and Mike from Mike & Mary Treenut was out there yesterday looking for it and just couldn't find it. So I meet kand out there today to check on it. They were in the right place but the cache is gone. Looks like someone took a chainsaw and made all types of trails out there. Looked all around but it is gone!

So with a sad and heavy heart, I say farewell to this one of a kind cache that has been here for over 3 years and I would like to thank everyone who has visited this cache and enjoyed it. And a special sorry guys to Kand and Mike !

Geocache Description:

Hey, Where's The Key?

New Update March 31st, 2006

I have replaced the lock with a brand new weatherproof Master lock so I have placed 2 new keys out there in circulation. They are coated in a yellow rubber protective suit with the laminated tag on them so the old keys will not work . I repeat the old keys will not work! Please abide by the rules of this cache and lets have some fun!

The coordinates are to an ammo box of the 30 caliber type that is hidden very well and finished with a Darkmoon Stealth paintjob full of goodies for all the cachers to find! Not a problem right? Well guess again my friends...The box is locked with a padlock made of some government unobtanium material that nothing sort of bolt cutters or a acetylene torch can open! Tsk, Tsk for thinking of doing that! How do you open it then Darkmoon...Well, I am glad you asked...I have placed two keys marked with the above coordinates and the cache name on a tag in two Oklahoma City caches. You will have to read the logs of all the close caches to find where they are! When you find a key, you have 48 hours to locate and open the Lock Box and then to place the key in another cache! DO NOT PLACE IT IN THIS CACHE AND PLACE IT ONLY IN A LOCAL CACHE WITHIN 30 MILES OF THIS CACHE! Please remember 48 hours and in the OKC area! If you want, you can always place the key back in the same cache that you found it in but lets make it interesting and fun for the others to find! Always remember to log the key placement as a note if you have visited that cache before! You may also place a note here on where the key is hidden but lets have some fun and give them just a clue or a rhyme or something!

The terrain is a mixture of moss covered red sandstone boulders and drop offs that can be very slick when wet and there is a stream that one must cross so choose wisely if there is rain in the forcast! There is also a steep climb and of course on the way back, could be a steep descent on your glutes! This is Oklahoma so there are briars and thorns in the area but most can be avoided if you chose the right trail! Hehehe, please check your maps carefully, you will find a great route as there is private land to the north that needs not to be tresspassed on! Be Warned!

As always, if you have any suggestions or comments on any of my caches, please feel free to email me, I always like to hear what you think! I also give credit to the others who gave me this idea!
