Trails are available that steadily take you up the hill side (aka peak). The cache is not far from two large holes in the ground (aka crater).
The trailhead is at N47° 22.234, W122° 00.445
Parking is available on the north side of the road. The map of the trails is posted on the south side of the road.
No need to bushwhack, trails are available for the entire route.
Depending on which of the trails you take, the cache is a little less than one mile from the trail head.
This is another great location to take the dogs for a walk .
This cache can be found on horseback, mountain bike or on foot .
A few hundred feet beyond the cache are large sunken holes in the ground (aka crater). Be careful not to get too close and fall in.
The craters are the reminants of the Landsburg coal mine collapse of 1959. See Gonji's log of Nov 3 , 2003.
Good news, the way back to the car is all down hill!
The cache is a green ammo box.
