Mattke Family Picnic Cache Traditional Cache

This is near a favorite picnic location of ours. Coming into the park, you might think this place fills first, but most people drive right past and you can generally secure the spot if you like by as late as 11 a.m. on a busy weekend (but don't count on it).

After you enter the park, take the first left off of Pace Bend Rd to get to this cache. The road is narrow and it dead ends so you don't need to worry about traffic. It shouldn't take you long to find this cache.

Depending upon the day, there is a $10 per vehicle admission fee for entry to this LCRA park.

Hope you enjoy the first cache placed by the Mattke Family. You also may enjoy picnicking at the spot with its dramatic views and rocky swimming hole.

Be careful when searching as steep, rocky cliffs abound in the area.
